Why there is no people chatting in the game?

I just think it's not like the atmosphere I experience in reality.

I am new to chess actually. I just started to play chess a month ago. I knew this website like 5days ago.

Anyway, is that weird if I feel embarrassed about the silence in game?

Usually I play the 10min mode. I think it won't be a big issue to chat cuz it's such a long time

Chat shouldn't exist. Most people understand that.

Most games are timed, we don't waste it talking.

If you guys want to bury your whole mind into the game and seek for champion, we are not in the same position. I play game for fun. And for me the fun part is the interaction. If you don't agree, just hold your opinion. No need to say anything. By the word "most" you mean your imagination or it's like "I am the most"?

I am looking for those people who have spare mind to chat. If you don't, you are not. Simple logic.

Why would I? I have limited time, and unlike on Showdown, saying GG, the most common phrase, can be considered toxic.

Website culture prefers not to use chat. Also, chat seems to typically be used when it has voice chat or is needed, which Chess.com chat has neither.

And besides, most people have chat blocked (which makes it really annoying when my opponents send funny messages, lol).

OK. I accept your explanation. And sorry for my poor attitude before(cuz I thought you were perfunctory with me). But I still need an opponent that can play chess relaxedly with me, in other words, maybe have the ability to beat me with ease and laugh, just such high technical people.
