The message from DaveDtech is balaoney. They have known about this issue for a year and they already know the cause. They will tell you to clear cookies, look at problems with your ISP ... same rigmarol. The problem is they don't want to pay for the bandwidth to support the application given the membership levels and ad schemes. Another of their techs already told me (3 months ago) that this is essentially true and that they are considering "drastic changes" which - of course - like all their other promises over the last year never materializd.
The previous advice you've been given about clearing cookies etc sounds like the standard advice that the Support staff give when connection problems are reported. If those things don't work - and they don't always - then you can get back into contact with them, and they will escalate the problem to someone more technical; @DaveDTech is going to be that person, and he's not talking about giving the standard advice, but about actually connecting to your PC using a remote tool so he can see your specific computer set up. Please avail yourself of his assistance.
There are a vast combination of computers, operating systems and browser software, and in some of those combinations, Chess.com definitely has problems - please see https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/who-hates-v3-the-most-contest-maybe?page=4 where @erik talks about some of the causes of some of the problems people are experiencing and demonstrates his commitment to getting them addressed (DaveDTech gets introduced on page 5 of that thread).

Chess.com once was THE very best and only site for online chess.
Here, however, is what I have gathered from their reps about why their application continually freezes causing about (1/3 games) by my estimate to be lost due to their poor mgmt of their site, as opposed to chess tactics and strategy:
They don't have sufficient bandwith to support the ad schemes and number of members. So, when there is enough demand online, they just say FU to their non-paying members, allowing them to lose games due to the application freezing.
I encourage you to contacting their reps to ask about this: some will say the problem is on your end. Others will say they are working on it. Others will say it is an advertisers fault and they are considering "drastic" changes. Others will say your ISP is the problem. But the bottom line is that they have known about the problem for more than a year and they have no intention of fixing it. And as you know, this site is not "free" to non-paying members. In fact, we generate a LARGE share of their revenue through click commerce and their ad schemes. And yet they say FU to their non-paying members ... sometimes your games just wont work because we want to count money, not be a chess site.
Why? I suspect that the only thing they care about at this point monetization. And like most idiots who go that route, they don't believe that their awesome enterprise will ever really crumble. I know that i have discovered some alternatives which are not as sexy as chess.com in terms of features BUT WHERE I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY CHESS.
Your 1 1/2 month membership has told you all of this?
Pretty snarky and you clearly think you are clever. Does it seem possible to your extra smart mind that somebody may have gotten a new account at some point. Sorry to take tiny wind our of your wit balloon.
