IF they do implement bughouse, how will you be able to communicate with your partner? Does this mean you have to buy a mic?
will bughouse become part of chess.com?
There is some 4 player chess variant that my 9 year old is playing in chess club. I was outraged that he had never heard of bughouse. I was going to hold the coach down and shout instructions to the kids -- "I need a bottle of glue" "Now I need a bottle of glitter!" "I need 5 or 6 bishops with the ends filed into points and we win. Hurry!"
Then I remembered bughouse doesnt really have anything to do with learning how to play chess :)

They just get a pop-up that automatically closes with a piece that they can put anywere. I will be under the "details/moves" bar. If they click on it, they select which square to put it on. I would count as a move.
For the clueless, Bughouse is a very fast paced, crazy and fun 4 player chess variant. Although it can be played on the internet in some locations, I think many would agree that it becomes incredibly fun and addictive when you have 4 chess players in the same room side by side.
I havent done chess clubs or tournaments in many years, but when I was doing them, bughouse was a frequent diversion before or after.
I played a lot of bughouse in college. It ruined my chess playing skills. It is worse than playing blitz or bullet.
