Will I get banned for cheating?

I recently won a tournament (15/10 <1499) and the guy i faced in the finals and his friend both accused me for cheating, cause apparently i did really well. I didn't use any sort of engine and just played to the best of my ability, but im scared that i might get banned, and i just bought the yearly diamond membership that I'm using to help run the chess club at my school. What do i do?

Are they even gonna give me a chance to defend myself or are they just gonna snap their fingers and poof, the 100 dollars I've been saving for the past 2 years to not even better myself, but my community just down the drain.

They do indeed take it seriously... to the point that they don't ban anyone unless they have evidence that they feel would stand up to a court challenge. So if you are innocent, don't worry about it.

Relax. If the person that you faced against reported you for cheating, then the chess.com staff will analyze the game first before they do anything else. They can tell if you used an engine or not. For example, if you made the same, or a lot of the same moves as a chess engine, for example stockfish, they'll probably ban you. A couple of the same moves as an engine is okay, but 30-40 in the middle game would probably be a bit fishy. However, if you didn't do this, as you claimed, you'll be fine. I can see that panicking wouldn't be too uncommon when somebody accuses you of cheating, especially when you started your free diamond trial, but I think that you can relax in this scenario.

And if i do get banned?

If you cheated, you should be worried; if you didn't cheat, you have nothing to worry about.

I have to disagree with this. First of all, no, you can't just say whatever to being falsely banned and losing $100. Second of all, there are things that you can do if you're worried. If you want, you can contact the chess.com staff to just talk to them, but I doubt that's necessary, as you probably won't be banned.

Well if that's the case then how long does it usually take for these kinds of things to be issued, so i can at least savor my last few moments.

I think that you can relax. It would help if you could post the game where you were accused of cheating, so that I might be able to point out reasons why you wouldn't be banned.

Ok, you're not helping in any way. You give yourself an immature name, you put yourself as a beginner when you made this account, and then you start making dumb "insults" to someone you barely know. If you're just gonna make unhelpful comments here, then just unfollow this forum and never come back.

I just played to the best of my ability, making sure not to make any mistakes since it was the final game of a tournament.
