It would be cool to see grandmasters and computers playing in the same tournament. I would watch it.
World Computer Chess Championship vs. World Chess Championship

I had no idea Deep Junior was the computer chess champion... kinda funny. When the engines run on the same hardware Houdini is the strongest. Deep Junior is like... 15th.

Deep Blue wasn't an engine, it was dedicated hardware.
Deep Junior still won the title, I have more respect for the program writers who wrote their own programs and stuck to improving them gradually and not just used Fruit's code and later Stockfish etc and come up instantly with a top program.
Deep Blue did actually play in the World Computer Championships in 1995. But lost a crucial game agaianst 'Fritz', who won competition.
I know stockfish is not from Fruit, don't believe my writing said that. It's code has been used by others as it is open source. So many strong programs have appeared since these 2.
“I can’t beat the best computers. They have complete information, so how could we expect anything else?"

Has the World Chess Champion ever played the World Computer Chess Champion? Will there be any tournaments of the two in the near future? If Magnus Carlsen played Deep Junior, who will win?
By the way, did Deep Blue play in the World Computer Chess Championships?
