I know, I remember all the trash talking. I sometimes get hate mail from this site too LOL but not as worse and often as Yahoo Chess.
I like Chess.com much better, it's easier to find and play a game. So much better than "sitting on a table" and waiting for players like Yahoo lol

I'd open two tables with the time control I wanted. One as black and one as white.
Then I'd also search for a game among the other tables. That way you didn't have to wait a long time. If I got a game I'd set the other table(s) to private so they didn't clutter it up for other people.
Oh, and the first thing I'd do was click on the names of the first few people sitting alone at a table. If they were idle a long time, then I wouldn't even bother joining.
People always mention the cheating and trash talking, but I rarely ran into cheaters and I guess I just ignored the chat because I don't remember trash talking was too bad.
Anyone ever played Yahoo! Chess before?
