Yahoo Chess Hacked?

Ok so I'm really angry right now - I just played two games on Yahoo Chess (I kept disconnecting here using live chess at chess.com) and each game was hacked. Basically, I would go to make a move and it would throw my piece to some strange location, and then it would continue to let me play. Last I checked position was important in chess, and bishops aren't supposed to fly to the bottom right corner when u need it to capture a queen. I'm so ******* right now - it is one thing to lose a legit game, but its another thing to watch your rating slowly dwindle to complete newbs just because they have some ** program. Either this is the case or Yahoo Chess just has some MAJOR kinks/glitches that they need to work out. The pieces flying randomly happened to me 3 times today, and when it happened the last two times I just threw my hands up and said forget this (that's the nice way of putting it). I'll go back to chess.com's live chess for a bit, but the dissconnection rate is somewhat high (and I'm on a good computer/strong connection). Any thoughts?

You must tell us your OS and browser.

IE = FAIL, so get Firefox.

I am using IE, i'll give firefox a shot. You think it was just the browser?

Yeah it is the browser trust me...i was using IE and i kept on disconnecting it was just so irratating. And then i heard about mozilla firefox 3,which actually helped. Now i only disconnect when my internet is laggy or low on download limit.

You were disconnected from Chess.com because IE..

And Yahoo Chess is the worst.. I think any 12 year old kid who knows how to type can hack that site.

LearnChess

I played chess with Yahoo! recently, and I was winning a game where my opponent left, but the game was still going, and someone could join in to take the place, and when someone did, the position "reset" where all the pieces were placed like in the beginning with the King's bishop took the place of the King's pawn, my time was frozen, and I couldn't move. I was chatting with my opponent the whole time, and they asked if I was drunk, and telling me how my time was counting down, and my time ran out and lost.

Firefox definitely works better on this site than IE.  Try Live chess using Firefox and it should reduce your problems.

Now that is funny...

Sorry but I quit using this site 6 months ago because of the high disconnect rate.

Came back to try live chess a few days ago, I use firefox and have a good internet connection as well. In over a year I have been disconnected from FICS maybe a handfull of times.

Here, its the same as when I quit playing live chess 6 months ago. 20% of my games were decided by disconnect of me or my opponent. The fact that this has been going on for over 2 years one really has to ask when is live chess going to be fixed?

Especially when this is a site that wants paying memberships.

CoolI played a game the other day  two games for the first time i was not disconnected here ,ilost the first game as i was fooling around expecting to get bumped off an the guy who i was playing was bumped off but was able to reconnect in time.2nd game i had a clear win when tje other player got knocked off but in any case i would have won.I have played at yahoo an while not good i found it to be more stable than this site.Look i love this sites download section an talk fourms but as for online play its a sad joke.I find FICS using babas 4.0 innterface the best free stable place to playonline. An chessassistant club is also a good online site.Try these you will like them.

I used to play on yahoo chess.  The fact that someone could leave and then someone else take the place and the game would continue would annoy me.

You mean, Yahoo chess is not supposed to behave that way?
