You are unable to challenge Titled and other protected players until you have played more games.

?????

This is what it told me when I went to open challenges and clicked on a player challenging crazyhouse. They were rated low.

What does this mean?

Striving2NM

Maybe they don't except challenges or they have a closed account or something? Have u checked the opponents profile?

Go to open challenges. That is what it said when I clicked on one of them.

It works for me.

Titled players and other protected players can't be challenged unless you have played a certain amount of games. That stops cheaters from creating dummy accounts, challenging them, beating them, and then closing. That person you tried to challenge was probably a protected player, if they were not titled.

I have played 2344 regular chess games. If you are including variants, I have played 5151 games. I have challenged and played titled players before, and even beat one once.

How many crazyhouse games have you played? I think it depends on the variant you are challenging them in.  If those 5151 games were in bughouse, that means you have 0 crazyhouse games, and then you can't challenge them. Or if they are unrated crazyhouse games, that almost might not count.

I'm not sure how to tell how many Crazyhouse games I've played. I have the 100 games of crazyhouse achievement, so I know I've played at least 100. Whatever the issue is, it's only happened once, so I think I'm fine.

Thank you for your help though.

Np, cc has been pretty buggy lately, so maybe that caused it.

I've played like 1000-2000 games. Why do I get that message?

Are you directly challenging someone or trying to accept an open challenge?

What are some examples of protected players?
