Your account has been flagged

Had this happen to me a couple of times now and it's really frustrating as I can no longer find a game. I've played chess for years on this site and played tens of thousands of games and never once cheated or played unfairly... granted, sometimes I will abort a game if it looks like my opponent isn't there and I don't want to wait an extra 10/15 seconds for it to automatically abort. 

What is the purpose of it being impossible for me to find a game whilst my account is "flagged"? 

It is to discourage you from aborting.

You are saying that it doesn't work--that you abort anyway rather than wait out ten to fifteen seconds.

My account being flagged is to discourage me from aborting? I can understand if I'm aborting frequently but it's 1 in 10 games AT MOST. (probably closer to 1 in 20) And I'm only aborting the games where it's clear my opponent isn't there (I've waited enough times to know that if they haven't moved after 10 seconds, 95% of the time they aren't moving at all, so why waste another 10 seconds of my time when I can get another game up quickly?

In fact, is there a suggestions forum anywhere? Because my suggestion would be to change the abort time pre-match from 20 to 10 seconds for this very reason. Would stop me having to abort then prematurely.

I don't know what the allowed number of aborts per day is but you seem to be hitting it.  I would guess anything above 1 in 100 would trigger it.

PS You've been a member here for years but 99% of your 4,236 blitz games were played this year. 

Yeah 1 in 100 seems really high for a trigger but definitely seem to be hitting whatever the limit is.

I stopped playing for a while and then when I started again I signed in through FB thinking it would connect me to the account I had but it appears to be a seperate one. Definitely played more games in the past than I have this year.

Can't you just wait the extra 15 seconds? It would stop your account getting flagged in this way. The time you might save by cutting off that 15 seconds has surely been wasted many times over by the wait you now have finding a game.

Well it's only happened twice now and it's usually resolved quickly enough (ie. account no longer flagged) so it's not too big a problem, just a minor annoyance if I want to have a quick few games.

And yeah I could.... but like most people I'm impatient. And if it's clear the other person is there I don't want to waste those 10-15 seconds waiting for them.
