I like watching MatoJelic, agadmator, GMHikaru, BotezLive, and Chess.com.

I agree with Epiloque. I watch all of those for the same reasons. I would also add the St. Louis Chess Club channel as well. I’ve been watching so many Hanging Pawns videos recently. I really like the way he explains theory. As a beginner who’s not even ready for theory yet, it still reinforces basic concepts that I’m slowly beginning to absorb through repeated viewings.

I'm not so sure. Hanging Pawns and Agadmator are quite good. Eric Rosen doesn't edit, meaning I don't want to watch two hours of recorded twitch stream with a clickbait title that reeks of "no effort". Hikaru is ok in terms of content.

I'm not talking about his streams, they are not fun to watch. I'm talking about the short videos he posts with the ke4 challenges and stuff like that

Yeah, but I keep getting the streams in my recommended and I don't like that.

interesting.

I feel like a lack of pace is very common in chess videos. Very little editing, a 20 minute video could be shortened into a 10 minute video if you cut out all the brain fart moments.

yeah, that's kinda like a problem with chess yt in general

Reopening this semi zombie because surprised no-one mentioned chess network, which is my favorite. I also enjoy chess brah for the more fun side. And chess.com do pretty well (I know this has been mentioned)

Agadmator recently passed 1m subscribers. Congrats to him, but tbh I don't quite understand why his channel is so popular. His videos are a bit dry compared to brah or Danny Rensch, and don't analyze as much as channels like chess network.

Because agadmator uploads a lot and is for super casual viewers. I did mention chessnetwork along with a few others, but lost that comment as i was muted.

Basically chessnetwork does not upload a lot, but his uploads are much bettter than agadmator. Agadmator's casual analysis appeals to more people, so he is more popular. It does not matter that chessnetworks vids are better, since most people don't want videos that in depth, making agad more popular.

Ben Finegold likes to say that a homeless man could do better analysis than agadmator

I learn a lot from Gotham Chess!

I do not like MatoJelic because he actually believes crazy conspiracy theories and sometimes let’s it slip into his videos.

I really like agadmator, gmhikaru, John Batrtholomew, anything from St.Louis chess club. Some other channels I like are only in Russian language.
OtW47
Nakamura & Gotham

I don’t know any.

chessbase india is also a very good channel. Lots of instructive content. Anish Giri and Teimour Radjabov also have good channels

agadmator could do better analysis than ben finegold. Although ben is a GM, he has good speaking skills and is more entertaining.

Jenium

Chess Dojo, Perpetual Chess and Ben Finegold.

That depends on what analysis we are talking about. Finegold can do more in depth, better analysis than Agad, but Agad’s analysis appeals more people because most people don’t want that kind of heavy analysis that Finegold can provide, they think it is boring.
