Your longest win streak

Here:
Winning streak: 12 games
Losing streak: 4 games
OTB:
I won a weekend tournament with 5/5 many years ago but as I've grown older (and the opposition has got much tougher) I've drawn too many games to go on a proper win streak. I prefer to count "unbeaten" series these days. My best one recently was 8 rounds unbeaten in a rapid play event, open section. Of course, I lost in the 9th round, for the money. Typical.

The weird part of the 8 round unbeaten rapid play event was that I scored 2.5/3 against masters (won against 2250, won against 2260, drew with 2350 {8th round and the eventual winner}) but in the 9th round I had to play an unrated player who was helping out in the bar between rounds and lost! I never blundered, I played well and he played better. I had White, played the King's Gambit which he accepted. He held onto the pawn and ground out a minor piece ending over about 70 moves. On the way back in the car I said to my club-mates (both stronger players than I, 2200 and 2250): "Balls! lost to an unrated in the last round for the money!". They just laughed and said "You're in good company, he beat both of us as well!".
I don't remember my longest losing streak (I've had some long ones), but I believe my longest winning streak is around 10 games, all played against a friend who isn't quite where I am.

As far as human opponents go, I'm on a winning streak of 15 right now with 2 games to close off, 1 is a cert victory and in the other I'm a piece up. Woohoo! Not sure what my best all time streak is.
I don't think I've ever lost more than 3 in a row.

Well I guess it comes down to who you're playing and how often. I'm a CC type of guy. I only have one OTB opponent and don't play in clubs. I've gotten quite good at Chess over 18 years playing it but I'm not too specific about who I play, I just post a game on a first come first served basis. Also, I don't play half as much as some of you guys.

My longest win streak in otb tournament play is a 7-0 result in a tourney I won here in Lisbon. After more than 30 years of tourney chess I have had very few "perfect scores" and thats my only one here in Portugal. In the US I had a couple of 5-0 events over the years but NOT since breaking 1800 and being thrown to the wolves ( Open section ).
My longest otb losing streak is 6 games in a closed round robin event here in which I lost 7 and won 2 !! I was second ranked from the bottom in this event which was a chance for players to make IM norms.... only one player got an IM norm in this event that wasnt already an IM. It was a nightmare experience for me. I actually made $200. as I was paid to play this event.

Thanks, but I did it in a rather unethical way to prove a point to erik/chess.com and after I did this they fixed it so the higher rated ( over a certain amount ) cannot gain even 1 rating point for a win. During that streak I dont think I played anyone over 1400 or so.......

They were enough lower rated that I was only getting 1 point per win but I got 140 points like that.

140 long, drawn out wins sounds really boring.
Sub 1400 CC players against an NM? Quick and brutal more like it.
Whats the longest streak of wins you ever got. I think mine was 7
