7 Day Free Trail Account Banned by chess.com & credit card details already shared by user.

Hi,

My friend had his account banned during the 7 day period, reason being he cheated. Firstly, my friend is a good player & he can compete well with other players at a very complex level. the loosers get their ego hurt & instead of fixing their game report other players.

My friend [user ID- darklion007] shared his credit card details to chess.com & during the 6-th day of his free trail his account was closed.

My query on behalf of darklion007 is - Will the amount still be deducted from the account, once you have closed the account during the 7 day free-trail period?

He has been contacting via emails & your support page but there is no response from chess.com customer support. how bad of a situation is that for the users!

Thanks & Regards,

User-of chess.com

Did your "lion" friend ever have a previous account.?

He never had a previous account on chess.com. He was using darklion007 from past 10 years & he must have played over 500 + games of chess. He trusted the site & opted for premium membership & shared his credit card details. Now, we saw other forums & many customers don't get a refund on Account Closure & their customer support is unresponsive to the core!

I really can't speak to the financial aspect of your query, but it just doesn't sound legit. Chess.com is a financially stable site and has been for years. It would make no sense to take money from members and then ban them.

Our query is- will the account be deducted or not, once the account is banned! We are not blaming anybody here, but yes the unresponsive customer care team and no replies to our emails- is really getting on our nerves! The free-trail period ends tomorrow & what if the money gets deducted ? Who will be responsible! Why do not the players who are banned get a proper email informing that the money will not be deducted?

Chess.com is financially stable thats true, but for an individual his hard earned money matters more. Plus, an individual got to trust while sharing the credit card details to the website. The unresponsiveness is a major issue!

In my 7 yrs here I never heard of Chess.com actually stealing money from people.......that being said,..I'm just a member. I'm in over my head when you are asking me financial questions that I'm unfamiliar with. If the transaction goes through, anybody has 30 days to contest it.

We just want to hear this from chess.com team in an official email. Thank you.

Think of it this way If they really wanted to give free trail accounts away they would (with out demanding credit card info)

They make money anyway they can

In an age when databases are hacked (cracked) everyday passwords, credit card numbers etc. are used with out your knowledge.

The question is Why would he/she do it?

Without a credit card, a player could open one account after another and get a free trial forever.
