What do you mean by "forum links?" Posts you see people post in forums? If so I would recommend never clicking those, as that's the best way to get viruses ._.
A lot forum links on this site today are leading me to scam websites (pretty serious)

Not sure if this is an issue on my site, or something, but literally all forum links send me to these websites
Y u even clicking on those links in the first place that's basically like sticking your hand into a hole when you don't know what's down there

No, I mean me clicking on a notification, like
"I have a bug" (1 new)
Or stuff like that, in my notifications, simply trying to acess a lot of forums is redirecting me to these sites, im not running around clicking random hyperlinks ._.
Sorry for not making this clearer!
For example I came here cuz a notif from chess.com said this has new messages, I click on it and it redirects me to a scam my website, maybe it's an issue on my side. Idk

You probably have malware on your system and you should scan your system with a reputable tool.

You either have malware or a virus already on your computer. Or it just may be a coincidence, because occasionally things like these pop up even if you don't have one.

It's possible a bad advertisement made it into the rotation as well, but a scan would be recommended since that isn't something the site would do on it's own.

Ok, seems like my anti-virus protection needed an update, I blocked it and updated everything, probably some ad, but thnks!

Some malvertising ads don't even require that you click on anything. As soon as the ad appears, *you*are*infected*

I just literally came here to this forum and the ads started popping up again, I have protection and it doesn't happen anywhere else...

Update: scanned everything, god rid of any malware, although I do believe a bad ad somehow ended up in the system, does chess.com even regulate what ads it shows? Or do they just *rent* space

I'm sure Chessdotcom specifies general requirements to the ad server, like being family friendly, etc. But the whole idea of using an ad server is that you don't have to get into the weeds of vetting each and every ad yourself.

Any bad ads contact support
I know you're required to say that, but for the umpteenth time, it depends. If by "bad ad", you mean it's in poor taste, of a sexual nature, etc, then yeah, contacting support is the right thing to do. However, if it's a case of malvertising, it does no good to contact support. The damage has already been done to your computer, and the user won't even know which ad was the malvertising ad, so he won't even know which ad would need to be reported, even if he wanted to report it. And the site will keep the malvertising event hushed up by never admitting that it happened in the first place.
About the only thing I can say in the site's defense is that if a user gets a case of malvertising on his PC, there's just about no way for him to know which site got him infected, unless the hacker is stupid enough to announce the infection immediately after the user clicks on the malvertising ad. (And of course, a small number of malvertising ads don't require that the user click on the ad.)
