Yes please!
Android support

Yes. This would make the paid membership worth every penny. Given that Android is still Java, but a different API, It shouldn't be too difficult to port the midlet version.
But to be realistic, are we (the Android users) at the criticall mass to justify the development? I don't know about now, but with phones like the Motorola Droid it won't be long until Android sits right next to the iPhone.

Well, Android still has a ways to go to catch iPhone (though the Droid is a REALLY nice phone)... that said, last I heard, the plan was to work on an Android app next, though, no word on when it would be finished yet.

Thanks for the link. I tried it out, but I think midlets are not really ready for prime-time on the android. I actually doubt they will ever be. Here are the issues I encountered:
- the midlet restarts when I slide the keybord open (and therefore switch from portrait to landscape)
- clicking on lines to open a game is succesful about 1 out of 5 times
- the fonts look ugly, the whole user experience is not android-like
Summing all these up, I'd rather use the website directly than the midlet version. And I'll be very happy when the real Android app comes out.

already available (in early testing): http://www.chess.com/groups/view/chesscom-android-phone-app-group
:)
Are there any plans to support android clients? This would mean either a native Android app (not a midlet) or a mobile site which is usable from the phone's browser.
