I don't have that particular problem but I have other similar problems. The pages load very slowly, occasionally the website cannot be accessed, and I often have to click on a piece numerous times to get it to move my chess piece in blitz games. I have lost a full minute trying hard to make my first move knowing exactly where I wanted to go instantly. One time my opponent's clock was ticking down and I lost on time. The screen showed it was my opponent's move but in actuality it was mine. I think the person may have blocked me too thinking I was deliberately stalling. I often get a red banner across the top, or 12 red red banners, with some type error message of some kind. I don't have your specific problems but I do have a lot of problems. The computer I use is only about one year old.
Annoying opening of SPAM-Sites triggered by chess.com, what a shame!

What you describe can be server or pacing problems with concurrent processes resulting in such things.
But no serious page should forward the user to a advertising or spam-site randomly, triggered by moving a piece. This way the only thing is to avoid playing on chess.com

True. Although you seem much more knowledgeable about this than I do. There a couple of other chess websites which really aren't too bad, to be perfectly honest. I hope technical support or somebody can tell you how to fix it.

To be clear, its not a problem on my site and any serious website should be committed not forwarding their clients browser to advertising sites, especially during the game.
This is, sadly, still ongoing; getting known bad redirects - and constant attempts to do so during live.
Still ongoing re-directs from, presumably, malicious advertisements; which are unwarranted. (This is imo, worse than the auto-playing audible videos, that induced severe lag).

September 2018, constant redirects to a spam amazon advert after every bullet game. Accessing mobile site, does not occur on any other site with this device.

I think Cooked Queen may have left the website in favor of another chess playing website or for just reading instead of playing chess.
What's wrong that so many times these days chess.com is forcing the browser to change the site to
an advertising or spam-website? This happend not once or twice, maybe 10 times this week.
I've checked it several times and it has nothing to do with the computer I use.
Just within playing a game against computer on chess.com and suddenly the site is changing.
Within a wimp several different site-forwards get triggered, some of the sites are the following:
webpromoapp.com, highspeed-action.com
This is absolutely a NO-GO for a site like chess.com!
