At which time UTC the new day starts on chess.com?

I think I could afford for one of the membership options, but I can't afford myself to spend too much time on chess now (and I could have problem restraining myself then, to not waste membership time), thus I do only 5 tactics per day, at least for the next 1.5-2 weeks.

However, whenever I want to do some, I usually get a pop-up that I already did some today, as I was doing them ~16-20 hours earlier, before going to sleep.

When does the new day starts? When the tactics limit gets reset? Is it something close to 0-UTC?

It's US Pacific time.

I'm pretty sure a new day starts based on local time now, not based on where Chess.com is located. So, midnight local time.

Even if it is based on US Pacific, you get the amount every 24 hours, which is still per day. Once you know when it resets, it is pretty easy to plan around it.

It may have small amount of inaccuracy, and could be within 5 minutes of midnight. I'm pretty positve the midnight time is correct though.

I think I figured it out. You can go into your

  • Settings --> Profile --> Timezone

and change the timezone to whatever you want (there's even time in the UTC written here, so it's easy to operate with it).

And when you do that, then this timezone's midnight will be used to reset your tactics happy.png.

So, as I sometimes have the time to do Tactics as late, as when it's already after the midnight, this  resulted in me often losting the daily amount of Tactics (sad.png cry.png). But now, after I changed it to some other timezone, it resets at 2:30 at night and I have more time to solve them.

Hooray! grin.pngfork.pngtactics.png

I think different features may use different times. Some are based on rolling time periods.

For example, I pretty sure tactics reset at midnight local time
