auto abort - should not have influence on the elo rating...

Why does my elo rating get reduced when auto abort after 15 sec terminates the game? Completely unfair! The minimum rating of my opponent should be 1600... When a blitz game opp has 1351 elo i should have the option to decline the game. In some games i can.. In others it's just not possible so you wait upon the auto abort. But i've lost 12 elo points after the game is canceled.

We can't all play opponents better than us.  The math just doesn't work out (well, unless you live in Lake Woebegone ((all the children are above average there)).

Players are allowed to abort matches for legitimate reasons, but only to a point. If you're aborting or disconnecting from games too frequently, the option to abort is removed and games that would otherwise be aborted are abandoned or resigned.
