Ok, to give a more usefull responce.
The banners are giving in HTML code. You need to have access to insert this kind of code, or to edit the source code of the website you want to insert this banner.
So if you have some sort of web portal like Jumba, phpnuke, blogspot, phpbb... etc. There should be some sort of inserting HTML code or editing the source code.
If you have FTP access to your website, then for sure you can edit the source code.
In your case you should try to use the tools the portal web gives you, like build or edit template, instead of trying to edit source code.
I am webmaster, I can give a look to your website to see what can be done in a reasonable "don't give the admin password of your website to strangers" sorta way.
I honestly feel bad for @Itsnoprob because on their profile it says, "I am 54 years old and unable to work due to a serious illness which is unlikely to go away. It has given me the opportunity to get together with chess gain after about 40 years and to hopefully learn something this time round rather than just moving and hoping." Their account has been inactive since 2012; I hope you are alright!

I have been very impressed with the site since joining aound a month ago and would like to display my support on relevant pages via either banners or graphics or simple text links as per http://www.chess.com/widgets/ BUT my question is HOW to insert the desired element on site pages. I cannot see any section for instructions...? Can you please advise a step bye step example? Hopefully I cn then take it from there. I am a diamond member so perhaps there is no provision for such 'ads' ....but I would still like to endorse the service!
