Hello, I am sorry that you were unexpectedly charged at the end of the free trial membership. I have now refunded this charge to your account and returned you back to a basic free membership as you have asked for.
BEWARE BILLING FOR PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP

Thanks, I appreciate the refund. The surprise billing came at a bad time. When I graduate, then I will get the premium membership.
Hello I have had abit similar problem though not entirely I have paid for a 1 month diamond membership for 11 euros, after 1 hour from payment I changed my mind because I decided the bonuses of a membership doesn't mean much to me so I cancelled and filled in the reason but now it's been several days, roughly 1 week now and I haven't got my money back why ? It is the first time I did it so it is according to Subscription Agreement, thanks in advance.

Hello, I wanted to try a premium membership so I bought a 1 month premium membership. Now I get an email saying I was charged again this month. WTF is that? Another 14.99? Why would I do that and not just get a yearly membership? There is no contact us button on the website as far as I can see. Thank you.

Are my $14.99 a month adding up so when it reaches $99.00 it goes automatically to an annual membership without charging me anymore? Cuz I should be way past that... So why am I still be charged $99.00 a month?

I signed up for a 1 month membership. Seems shady to me. That sucks. How the [language removed -- MOD] do I cancel? Where does it say I will be charged again? I feel this is a fraudulent charge?

I haven't done the sign up process in a while but I'm pretty sure somewhere in the process it says that is a recurring payment unless you cancel (of course I did it as yearly but the situation should be the same).
To cancel: http://www.chess.com/home/cancellation.html?type=membership link came from https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/articles/1444834

Same situation for me. Thiese guys from Chess.com are very tricky.
I suscribe for Premium Membership just for one month, But...oh surprise! Chess.com continue the debit from my Credictard next Month...
So, I try to unsuscribe, but.... They said to me "at the end of february, suscription will be finished"... But in march, again they debit from my credit card....
A very annoying situation... And I am talking now with my bank and with MasterCard about these people of Ches.com...
If I want a year suscription, I will pay 99 for a year, not 14.99 every month... Simple maths...
Unbelievable!!!

Outrageous!!!

I am sorry to hear of your frustrations javi75g. I have now refunded the most recent charge to your account and immediately canceled your premium membership on Chess.com. Have a pleasant day! :)
I am new to chess.com, although I have played chess all my life. When chess.com offered me a free trial premium membership, it said after the trial period, I could choose $14.99 / month or $99 a year to continue. When the trial period was ending, I got a message from chess.com to renew or cancel. It did not offer me the monthly payment, so I cancelled it. Imagine my surprise when my bank account was debited the entire $99. This was, in fact, a very unpleasant surprise because I am a graduate student and I can not afford a huge monthly payment. I cancelled the premium membership because I don't have time to play more then 3 tournaments a week. So, in addition to the cost, I don't have a need for a premium membership.
While I value chess.com and all the wonderful chess features, I think it's wrong to offer a trial membership and not acknowledge when the customer cancels the membership at the end of the trial period. I am really angry because I have bills I planned to pay when my monthly student grant is deposited into my bank account. I have demanded that chess.com immediately refund my money. In the meantime, I am terribly inconvenienced. Chess.com needs to pay attention to when customers choose to cancel.
