I was playing against a player and somehow my computer bugged out. The game reset as if I clicked "the beginning of play" button. No matter what I tried to push my keyboard was and mouse couldn't work. I refreshed my screen and each time it would show the game reversing back to the beginning. Then my screen started to zoom in and out on it's own. I was on a MAC and I unplugged my keyboard and then disconnected my mouse. Only then did it let me go back to the game and release the game from being stuck at beginning of play. It burned 5 minutes off my clock. My keyboard was also in a new configuration. Could it be possible for someone to send you malware from playing a game with them? Or was this complete happenstance it happened mid game and only affected Chess.com, my mouse, and keyboard.
No. From what we know, each player connects separately to the server. There is no direct connection. Hence, no way for one to send malware to another.
