Probably not. Some people might do this, but it is technically against chess.com tos policy. You are not allowed to have multiple accounts on chess.com (unless you get permission from the site staff; usually for something like a speedrun attempt or a GM needing another account to "secretly" work out an opening repertoire).
It would probably be okay if you closed your current account and created another one later (but not inverse since before closing that would mean having 2 accounts). The best way is to contact chess.com staff on what to do and the procedure. I don't know why you would ever want to change though.
This would lose all of your stats, chess.com friends and everything else. You can even change username once if you really wanted to do so by contacting chess.com staff and letting them know (or perhaps now you can change the username once on your own but then need permission to change a second time even if just "changing back").
Stick with your current account (even if this was just a hypothetical as you stated), but just ask chess.com staff if you are unsure
Are you allowed to open a new account and close your old one (if you have never violated any of the community policies)? If it is allowed, should I create it under the same email or a different email address?
