I had no problems in chrome doing it:
I have to ask is this a joke post though? Perhaps there's a limitation and who really uses this during games anyways?

This is so weird. I can't draw those lines, along with all the others in the middle that isn't shown in my picture.
Clear your cookies? Cache?
Also, there are three types of boards on chess.com.
Analysis.
Live Chess.
Play.
Live chess is deprecated. Arrows are in one color only. Orange.
Play allows four colors of arrows. I think. This is my theory.
Try the other two boards using a non-rated fast game, just test it out at some point when waiting for your opponent to move.
I have the same issues on the other boards too, clearing cookies and cache won't help, as this isn't a storage or knowledge issue, it's a graphical issue. Thanks for the tips though!
Well, you need to at least try the basic ideas:
1. What's the chrome version?
2. What's the OS?
3. Did you try to open up an incognito window, logging in, and drawing from there?
4. Disable adblocker? Could do random things.
My guess is that you have an option in your browser ( chrome://flags ) that chess.com doesn't like. Try making a full backup, then going back to default options.
Version 97.0.4692.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows 10
I made a backup of my cookies:
Incognito, no dice.
Adblocker, no dice.
Defaulting, no dice.
Other browser, no dice.
Laptop does the same thing.
i'm not much of a problem checker. I was hoping somebody had a similar issue with a solution
This is definitely something for chess.com tech support. you tried everything possible except them. I am just a nice dude. Go ahead and send them an email. I think that's the way they work. They have tons of $$ for tech support here so expect a real answer.
Cool! Thanks a bunch, Jason. an answer is better than none
I am using the same exact OS and chrome version, by the way, so perhaps it is an account issue. I know they can restrict accounts in special cases and that my account has always had restrictions.
I've talked with customer support now!
They found the issue, it's the arcade setting that messes with the line drawing. turning that to something else, fixes the issue.
Wow. That's great news we got to the bottom of the bug. No that doesn't fix the issue. To fix the issue they need to find the bad code and fix it. We have a workaround though, which is almost as good except others will not know and probably never realize the workaround either.
I fixed my issue by moving away from it . I wrote it here so people can figure it out, if they have the same issue. They are working on it however.

The search engine here just isn't good enough for that. But you are a good Samaritan for helping to improve chess.com's site and I am sure we all appreciate your effort.

Thanks for writing the solution to the problem, I was also facing the problem and couldn't find it anywhere. I even talked to the tech support and they also gave up tring to fix my problem.
For some reason I can't draw arrows from a3 to a4 / b3 to b4 etc. Anybody know why? it really messes up for thought process during games.
I use Google Chrome
