cant log on in google chrome after diabling cookies, how do i fix it?

Have you tried re-enabling cookies?

People have been having trouble with google chrome for the last two weeks.  I've given up on it.

One thing that might work.  Right click on the google chrome icon and then click on "Run as administrator."

People have been having trouble with Google Chrome on Chess.com? Hmm, I guess I'm just lucky then.

If all else fails I'd just uninstall and then reinstall Google Chrome.

I'm just shooting from the hip here because I don't normally use Chrome, but I'd think that you need to accept Chess.com cookies to log in. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this.)

If you're running the OS as a limited user, then running the browser as an admin seems risky to me.

It's not unique to Chess.com.  They released a new version of chrome two weeks ago, and it's malfunctioning in Windows unless you are running it as an administrator (not sure if all Windows versions are affected).

It’s now 5 years of this thread but I will tell anyway. I couldn’t log in on my chess.com site without accepting the cookies. Is it possible that chess.com force us to accept cookies??? Mr.Martin?

Yes, you'll need to accept cookies, at least during your session. Also, some settings are cookie based, so clearing them or a session or using incognito/private mode will lose those if you modify them .

Oh, im not so smart with computer and internet, Martin. I wouldn’t know what is incognito mode. So I accepted the cookies, but I don’t understand why do I have to accept cookies over and over again! Every time again, if I was just logged out for a moment!

It's possible your browser is set to automatically clear cookies after a session.

You should run any good virus cleaning once a week. That cleans out all the cookies accumulated. Didn't know this thread was 10 yrs old. I was drawn to it by the mis-spelling of diabling. You shouldn't "diable" with cookies in public. In some states you can get arrested for that. wink THIS is the virus cleaner that I use to get rid of cookies.
