Can't remove Game Challenges!

I've received a game challenge that I can't accept because my rating is too high (as determined either by the site or by my opponent's parameters, not mine). I can't delete the challenge because I can't access the challenge. 

How can I get rid of unwanted challenges that I can't accept anyway? The person who made the challenge hasn't deleted his challenge even after I asked. 

I have tried. I can't get to the screen to cancel them.

Added: By hitting "X", I can hide the notification, but when I go to the Daily games screen, the challenges are still there.

Can you only cancel challenges on the website? There is nowhere to do it in the app that I can find. What a disaster
