"Challenge failed" when trying to pair up Bughouse with a friend?

Hello,

I'd like to pair up with a friend to play a Bughouse match against a random pair of opponents.  When we try to pair up in rated or unrated versions, every time the chess.com response is "Challenge failed (challenge.users_not_paired)" and no game happens.

I thought it was the ranking issue but I tried with a similar ranked friend (1200-1400 for both of us) and 500 ranked friend, but always with the same result.

I did investigate the issue, but found no solution on the forums. It seems that this has been not been a problem in the past? Also I do have a feeling that when playing random Bughouse games, there are pre-arranged teams (same flag, similar ranking and repeated strategy)?

I've played Bughouse a lot and this has never happened.  You might want to "report a bug" (help feature, bottom left).
