chess.com going down hill

The amount of times I need to switch over to lichess to play a game is increasing. Too often does the server cause my game to disconnect forcing me to abandon a game losing rating. Very annoying and I pay for this..

Simply put, the servers are struggling to accommodate for the sudden increase in player count, here's the full article: https://www.chess.com/blog/CHESScom/chess-is-booming-and-our-servers-are-struggling

Usually, it would disconnect both you and your opponent and does not cause a loss of rating, make sure your internet connection is stable during play and that it's not an issue from your side, here's more information regarding that: https://support.chess.com/article/213-how-do-i-fix-my-disconnect-lag-issues

The constant server overload problems are just a sign of a very poorly run entity.

The site experienced a doubling of traffic over a couple of weeks and that has been sustained. Staff are working on optimizations and capacity increases to alleviate issues.

Too many server issues are causing me to reconsider paying for this service. I have experienced multiple "reconnecting" errors even though my wifi connection is stable, causing me to lose games and rating points as my preferred time format is bullet. Starting playing on Lichess as a result.
