Chess.com saying I used my free game review for the day, when I haven't.

Chess.com is telling me that I have used my free game review for the day when I haven't yet. This has happened multiple times now and it's quite annoying. I have the platinum membership which allows for one free game review daily, right? So why am I getting this message when I haven't? I also purchased the membership before the price changes if that has any effect.

Doesn't platinum give you unlimited game reviews? I've only joined today, but when I was reading the membership packages, it said that platinum has unlimited?

On Sept. 1st of 2022 they upped the prices for the memberships and gave them more deals like the unlimited game review, but anyone who subscribed before then kept the original price and benefits. It’s weird though that this didn’t happen then and only just started happening now.

Are you still having the issue right now? It's possible that is once every 24 hours and doesn't reset at midnight.

Isn't the usual grandfather technique in places that you pay the old price, but if you're in a particular tier you get the upgraded perks? If not, then in my opinion they shouldn't call it the platinum tier for you.

If it's not an active tier they should have changed the name to something like "grandfathered/legacy platinum", or something like that to differentiate it and minimise confusion for players.

I don't really have any right to comment on this though with me only being here for a few hours haha. Either way, I wish you luck in resolving your issue!

....

Some features may be considered a downgrade for some members. For example, the previous Gold had unlimited Game Review and the new doesn't. So they are not exactly comparable.

Ideally the site would only show the features you have on the membership page, if you had an old plan, along with some explanation that upgrading would lose access to that feature set if a later decision to downgrade was made.

Yep. It's been 2 days since my last game review and it's still giving me the same message. It's like I don't have a membership at all. I actually thought that's what happened at first but it renewed in December so I don't know why this just started now even if that was the case.

Are you on web or app?

Martin_Stahl

Found out your plan should have one review, not sure why you're not getting any. Having staff look at it.
