So recently, when I tried to open the Chess app on my iPad Mini 2, it would open for a second with a black screen before crashing almost instantly. However, when I checked all the apps I had open in the background, I saw it showing the last time I used it when it was still working. No, the app does not need an update, it's on its latest version and no, I don't think it's a problem with my background apps. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it started working again. Does anyone know what could have caused this to happen, cause this only started happening when I tried to open it without any connection to internet connections, hotspots, or mobile data.
There's a new app version released with a fix for that.
You should be on 4.2.13 and it just was released in the last couple of days. Uninstalling and reinstalling moved you from the previous version to the new one
