I had minor issues with it before and switched to the 'classic' version and have had no issues.
I was just thinking about switching back to the new one. Sounds like I should put that on hold.

I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you!
Try uninstalling and reinstalling when you clear the cache.
If it still doesn't work for you, as kleelof said, we have the Classic App still available:
@kleelof You should try out the new app, it's awesome! Of course, it has to work properly for you on your device
I already tried reinstalling the app. Doesn't work. I am installing the Classic app now. It works. Uninstalling the junk new app. Thanks! Back to chess./
I tried the new app again, it still is having the same exact problems it did before; no improvement. It is unable to update the games when the phone re-connects to the internet. It keeps showing old positions and games.
I've switched back to the classic version.
My problem turns out to be the WIFI connection. It must be filtering chess.com traffic. When I turn OFF the WIFI, and use cellular, the new app works great. Very happy again!
I would like to say that I have the classic version on my Samsung Galaxy S3 mini and the live play has never worked. Says loading then reverts back to the app's main menu.
Same really as I have never played chess online for real and don't feel confident about entering a tournament.
I haven't applied any paid membership yet and won't be doing so long as the app is defective.
Yeah and if you are not connected to WiFi expect to lose on time (reconnects a lot). I've lost many games due to this so now I never use the app.
I never disconnect when on cellular.
Home WIFI works great.
WORK WIFI is the issue, with blocking firewall.
Disagree I think it works great.
I used it for about a month in a location where I only had 3 bars 3g that sometimes went to 2-1 bars but I only dropped a few games due to the connection.
I've never had any problems on Wi-Fi, and I think the interface is good, no problems.
Hello! No, there is no difference how do you login.
2 month's later you respond? Come on.
Sorry, was busy with developing android app :/
Perhaps you guys should consider a ticketing system. The forums seem like a very ineffecient way to track problems.

Sure we have it too: https://plus.google.com/communities/103811010308225325535

Now as we reached some final phase in new v3 app with design and features, we are closing bugs and other mentioned tickets before.
I've ditched the chess.com android app a couple weeks ago. Basically nothing worked : neither live games, nor TB, nor messages. I was also spammed with TB notices.
This is poor-quality and rushed work like everything chess.com has been doing recently.
What is TB? What exactly happened? Can you give us some background? I did checked our crashes log system and there is no records for your username, which means that app didn't crash for you. Which version do you have now?

It ALWAYS hangs. The tactics never reload the next day.
I reboot my phone. No luck.
I clear cached data. No luck.
This junk works once every 6 days, it seems
Never finds a connection or a player (Live play)
This app used to work, and is now a piece of garbage.
Anyone else having major issues with the Android app?
