great news wildfire users, just download the QR code directly off the chess.com website, under the "play" tab click on "chess for android" and you will see the QR code, if you dont have a QR code reader installed on your phone just got to the android market and download it, then just scan the QR code using your camera and the chess.com app appears, it will download from there. i too have tried loads of different ways to download it but this is the only way it would work for me. my wife will kill me if she finds out i can play chess.com on my phone too
