Why does the new version of chess.com apps on android phone does not work? It says "The application ChessCom (process com.chess) has stopped unexpectedly.) Can anyone help me out for this problem on android phone? Thanks!

problem with android there are so many different platforms/versions ...get your self an apple Iphone

When it does that, what are you doing on the app?

When was the last time you updated the app?

Did you install over the last app or un-install the old then install the new one?

I get the exact same thing on the Android App using HTC Wildfire.

I am a premium member and wanted to get rid of the annoying ads on the app, so I uninstalled it and then re-installed the new version.  Everything is okay until you try and play a game or tactics or whatever, then I always get the error displayed and the App shuts down.

Is it possible to revert back to the older version somehow as I cannot currently play at all.

We added a bunch of fixes today, can you re-install from MarketPlace please then let me know if you're still having these issues

Hi there... I just installed the app on my Android and it can't get passed the Log In... it keeps refreshing but doesn't seem to be able to log me in. frustrating

I installed the Android App on an Amicroe AMI-TT4 9.7 inch tablet. It is now working well after a recent update. There is, as yet, no pre-move possible on the tablet but moving the pieces is faster cf a mouse on a desktop.  Can anyone enlighten me as to how I go about offering a draw or resigning using the tablet?

I notice that there is an optional "Submit" button that required me to press it every time I wanted to make a move; not the best for bullet chess.

Chess.com kindly informs me that, when a game is in progress, pressing  "Settings" provides the resign and drawer offer options.

Hello, after doing the recent update, I can't login to the app. It usually allows me to use Facebook to login and now it says "Couldn't Log In". When I try and enter in my username and password, it says that the username and/or password is invalid. I can login through safari no problem, just not through the app. The funny thing is my active games are still ongoing and I keep getting updates every time someone moves as if I'm logged in. Please help.

i login in about 10 times , everytime same message ( Chess.com server is unavailable) ,  just one time i connect my board is freez i couldnt move any piece , is there special requirments for this new version ??????

my app is no longer supported and recently I checked playstore & the only update is the same one I have... how do I fix this?
