I use Safari, but haven't had any problem with it. Is it working on other browsers?
Chess.com seems to close Safari unexpectedly

well, ironically enough i went to download google chrome but this comp doesn't have the OS to use it. also i was going to try firefox but someone in my family deleted it off this computer so... eh i didn't want to go download that because i've had some problems with firefox in the past.
i'll see how she fairs for now... more on this story as it develops
I have the same problem running Safari on a powerbook g3, OS10.4.11. It seems to occur mostly (maybe even exclusively, I'll have to pay attention) when I'm going through a game in tactics training or the mentor. I ran across something in tech support indicating that Safari doesn't completely support Java and to try a different browser, but I haven't found anything on the web to back this up.
Have you had any luck?

well, since then i've actually gotten a computer of my own, an asus netbook. so now i'm running windows 7, whereas before i was using my mom's macbook. my desktop crapped out on me almost 6 months ago and i've not had easy access to a computer until recently. sooo... now it's fine, but if i get on my mom's computer, chess.com always closes safari when i use it. i dunno... it's weird. no other website seems to trigger it.
well, i am using a macbook and just recently i've had the problem of safari (mac's internet browser) closing unexpectedly. it'll give an error message and give the usual "close, reopen, report" business.
but it never errors except for when i'm on chess.com. i basically narrowed it down by using other websites instead of this one, and it always worked fine without chess.com open.
and wouldn't you know it, when i get on this website it almost always closes randomly. well, now it's more like it always closes randomly. i've tried rebooting, emptying the cache, resetting safari and all cookies... but it seems that chess.com somehow causes it to randomly close. as a matter of fact i'm going to copy everything i have written just in case it errors before i post.
so anyway... i'm not sure if this is helpful at all but i figured i'd bring this issue to the light of the support people. i wonder if you have had similar incidents reported. if there's any way to prevent this it would be greatly appreciated. luckily it hasn't shut down while i'm playing a game.
thanks again, chess and internet people
