Classroom Room ID

Hi,

I want to invite some of my students to analyse games. Would like to use the ClassRoom feature but wanted to share the RoomID in advance (similar to Zoom invite). Or better off - have my personal RoomID that I can share.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

When you create the room, it has a room ID you can use to share.

While you are at it, how can we stream these classrooms on video to our students? I only see a link to join but no audio option. So, I would have to start in Zoom or Youtube Live, then invite them and record on Youtube. No?

Is there an easier way?

Classroom has the features built in.

Classroom has the features built in.

When I try, it says "We couldn't find your camera. Please make sure it is plugged in and powered on."

I want to record the board, not show my ugly self.

The classroom is already a shared board. The camera is meant for face-to-face lessons.

Yes - that I realised. Example - I just created one and the ID is "fine-castle-gem". However, I cannot share this for a predetermined time for students to meet later in the week.

One option I can think of - Create the room and keep it open. Hopefully, it does not auto-exit because of inactivity. I can try this.

Second option is to share the link right after I create the room at scheduled time.

Any better options - please suggest.

I want to be able to record the session and use it years later. I also want to use my own engine instead of the insufficient chess.com one.

Then Classroom isnt the solution for you. Use a local engine, screen sharing, and GUI and record.
