Well not necessarily THE computer, but you can certainly find unrated computer opponents clearly identified as such. Daily seems a bit silly unless you were planning on using an engine yourself? Maybe the computer wouldn't care if you took a day or two, but would rarely take more than seconds for most of its' moves. That's another of my $.02 from the collection. As usual, none of the above conclusions were arrived at using the scientific method...

Hiya, This was again an attempt at practising openings. I think the suggestion you made in my other thread is better for me. I mainly play Daily games so really wanted to replicate that experience as much as I could while practising.

Okay. You can also do it from Learn>Explorer>Analysis and then click on our old friend, the laptop. If you have the computer set on dumb, and you pick a nice tension filled middle game with lots of complications, sometimes you can actually have some fun crushing it. Using the Explorer lets you get deep into the middlegame if you want. I usually bail when I can't figure out how to make progress and let the computer's mistakes guide me. Have fun!
