I didn't have any problems with this site it is just that I feel I am addicted to this site and also feel instead of studying I am spending hours on this site You people have really made this a great site especially the live chess part I will try to reduce my chess playing time Is anyone else here addicted to this siteSmile

dsarkar

"Anyone else addicted to this site?"

KingPan

trigs

i'm completely addicted to this site. even if i'm not playing on it or reading info on it, i'll leave it open just in case i get a move alert...oh chess, why must you be so enjoyable?

Better an addiction to chess then crack! Don't leave, simply adjust your study time and chess.com time. Playing chess really does help with you concentration and your grade, if you spend your time hitting the books and not the chess board!

Well, I would highly doubt that there is any proof that chess helps you with your grades in school?  Where is your documentation for that!  It's just a freakin game!   And concentrating in school???  I think it is quite the opposite my friend.  I concentrate much worse in school since 1 year ago when I started playing this crap.  All I ever think about is chess.  It is an evil evil game that sucks your life away.

Chess will help you do much better in school if you don't ever play it.  That's my opinion.

why leave the best site ever

heheh this thread just goes to show you cant please everyone EVER! 'i want to leave chess.com ,because its too good!' LOL, reminds me of americans sueing McDonalds for the fact they ate too many burgers! If you dont want it, then leave it alone! dont leave, just come on when you should, and stay away when you should be doing other things! it would serve you well learning this, rather than leaving, everything in moderation is a good rule to learn in life! (im a hypocrite because im on here too much :-))) )

I think it can help on school but  it can not replace hard studying. In chess you have to solve problems systematicly and in math you are doning the same thing. If you want to be a nurse you also have to solve problems so I think it can help. it helps me practicing my english.

Treat the site as a reward when you finish what your supposed to do.

If you have a problem with chess, call 1-800-CHESSBAD.  Be brutally honest.

"My name is Vic and I like to play with my pieces."
