Deleting old facebook account so I can link with my active account

I went to try and link my active account (this one) to facebook but it said that it is already linked.  Tried logging in with facebook and discovered that it was my facebook chess account from years ago (roberthausch).  Tried deleting it so I could properly merge with my current account but it still says that there is an account linked but logging in with facebook says account closed.

Can you help completely purge the old account so I can link my current one?

It looks like you closed your old account already. I have now linked your Facebook page to your active account for you. :)

I am having the same problem :) Can you do it for me, too? :) "thepolymath" was the facebook account I had and I deleted it to link this one to my facebook.

This seems to be a common problem. I also connected via facebook but didn't realize I could combine my existing account with facebook so I created a new one when using facebook  

My facebook handle was raksnoukka and I deleted the account but now I can't combine this accoun (henderson75) with facebook. Could someone from staff help, pretty please

I want to link this account (jojo_tarek) to my facebook account however it says my account is closed cause i have closed an old account (tarekss1).

Should be ok now.

This seems to be the place to sort this, my facebook account is linked to an old chess.com account can you unlink it so I can link the new one. Many thanks
