Download all games in a PGN

Did this go away? 

I used to be able to go to Live Games -> Games Archive and there was an option to download all at the bottom.  That's no longer there.

Yes, I think it has. There are a couple of other threads that have discussed this already.

What I do now is go through at teh end of each day, click the games I've played that day and then have them emailed to me.

We did remove the feature.  Right now, the most games you can download at once is a page in your archive.

That sucks, any chance of it coming back?

Not to my knowledge. 

This is a big deal for me.  For me, it might make the difference between playing another couple thousand games on the site and playing my games on a site that isn't as good but will let me download my games easier.  I know it was causing big hits on the servers, but would it not even be manageable if it were only open to premium members.  I would renew my premium membership if I knew this option would come back.

I have tried doing it page by page and not only does it take a while the interface doesn't work very well.  Say I want to download all live games.  I use the filter to show only live games.  I use Select All and Download PGN it will send me an email, but then it goes back to the default filter Most Recent Games and in order to get the next page of games I have to do all of it again.  At least don't make it leave my filter when I press the download PGN button.  Then I could at least do it the by-hand way.  The way it is makes it difficult to do a page at a time even.

I wanted this feature back very badly since I'm a programmer and I wanted to play around with my games (I played 3015 games in 3 years) so I wrote a script to download them all. So if anyone is desperate and has thousands of games...

This is the type of decisions that make the most active users move to other sites.

I'm a premium member and one of the reasons for paying was to have access to all my past games. Now I want to download all my games to import in a database program and to email them to a friend. But, as explained above, this is a lot of hard work on my side.

There should be a good filter to select type of games, date from and date to, etc so that we could get all the games we are interested in a single PGN file.

If it's too heavy on the servers, make it a feature for premium members.

But, please, put this feature back. 

I completely agree.. Admins, plese do consider enabling the option to download all games in PGN at least for premium members. Thanks.

I just upgrade my account to Diamond few minutes ago and when I want to download all my games (>3600 ; 72 pages) I can't. I'm dissapointed with this. Please update this feature back.

I start to think ICC is much better place... You can download all games by one click. I have premium account here, but if there will not be a feature to download all games, I have to go to ICC. Removing feature to download all games is a BIG BAD idea.

I don't even understand what was the motive to remove it...

I'm on my premium trial this week exploring the site and its features and not even having this availability to download all my games is now the deciding factor in actually not paying for a membership on this site.

There are other factors such as bad video player software that doesn't even let me skip around without having buffered the entire content first, non-responsive customer support, having no premove in the iOS app and several others. However not being able to get collections of games in neat single PGNs is really the biggest minus so far.

It was available before. I don't understand why someone would remove something that is appreciated by several customers. But so far, I have never received an answer from this site's staff to any of my comments. Maybe no one from chess.com is reading the forums.

I have asked before and was told that download all games in a pgn was not available.

When I asked if I could use game explorer to "explore" my own games I receive a positive answer, so I though that even if couldn´t download all my games easily at least I could  see them on the website.

But now that I check the game explorer I can only see my recent games.

Years ago the explorer worked fine, for online games. Then they tried to add live, and it has been broken since....

I just checked, but from over 10000 live games (partly old, partly recent) only one of my games is listed, and that one says:

"1.e4 1 Game has been removed"

Maybe you forgot that you were a 1.d4 player in the past 

yeah, I just went to down load my games in a pgn, and it is at the games archive page.  hopefully I can select all my games and download them.  we'll find out soon enough.
