Try setting the browser zoom percentage to 100%.

When the browser zoom percentage becomes too large (~ 125%), the focus mode button is not displayed.

EDIT: Some members have said they had to decrease the browser zoom to 90%.

Yes, there's an "Always Use Focus Mode" switch in the live chess settings (website only).

If your browser window is too small or zoomed, it may not show.

I can zoom in out whatever, but no option appears to size fullscreen only to flip board.. I'm starting to wonder if it is because I am using dual monitor set-up.

this is also happening to me, the button is refusing to show up.

my browser is at 100%, and the button still refuses to show up. it's quite annoying because i'm on a laptop and the board is too small for me to see without focus mode.

I just looked and it is still there. It is at the top near the time display for black.

What browser are you using? (I use Chrome.)

Yes exact same issue for me..

@justbefair, the issue is that for us, the button just isn't there. it's not just that button, there's another button not showing up, called the theater mode button i think.

Try a lower zoom level, under 100%

it worked! thanks so much! i just turned it down to 90% and the buttons showed up.

i can finally play in comfort now!

My understanding is the options won't show of the view size of the browser window isn't a minimum size. Dropping the zoom can get it to that point.

Nope still not option here, it doesn't work on my desktop system either (dual monitor)?

it might be your dual monitor, because, as @Martin_Stahl said, you need the browser zoom to be a specific size. the dual monitor may interfere with that. i could be wrong though.
