Free trial only by creditcard?

I see that if you want to get the free trial you have to give your credit card number, but I have no credit card (and the same into my famely). Does this mean that I can't get the free trial, or is there another way to get the free trial??

Without requiring a Credit Card for the free trial, it seems like it would be easy to abuse the system...

no other way at this time. as stated above, without that it can lead to abuse. if you don't have a credit card but would like to do a free trial... not sure how we would do that. :) i mean, the site is kind of a trial anyway - you get glimpses to most of the site anyway.

sorry!

I am guessing that it is to prevent people from creating a new account each week to get access to premium features.

Ok, that's clear (and I have to say it's a brilliant site). Thanks for spending your time for this.

Perhaps a way to protect against people who make each week a new account is the following: You give the people no longer a free trial after a few weeks (or another amount of time), but after they completed 25 online games or 75 live chess games (or something like that) which aren't lost by losing on time.

But I'm afraid this is far more diffecult to set then the current system and there will be perhaps less people who purchase a membership and offcourse you want to earn money... So it is not that ideal.
