In daily games, can we explore a position we find interesting without breaking any rule or should I wait until the game ends to do it? For instance, I noticed an extremely weird position that is shown on game explorer - which makes me wonder how it can be there since it seems a lost game from start (gives up queen with no clear benefit). I'm curious to check it out on game analysis, but the game is still going on and will takes several days. I wonder if I'm breaking any rule by analysing it while the game is going on. Thanks in advance.

I dont think using engines is allowed on daily games, thats what I have been told, you can use stuff to read theory and other stuff but putting the exact position on engine. Correct me if anyone reading this.

If the position you are looking at is in a game in progress, likely to show up in a game in progress, or had previously been in the game but the analysis may give hints to future plans, you should wait until the game is over.

Ok, thanks for confirming it! I play regular games against the same opponents from for more than one year by now. Wouldn't want to be unfair in any way. This specific case made me curious, since it is a move shown on Explorer. Thanks mates.

Do not use the extension in an ongoing game. If the game has already ended and you would like to scan positions from it, go to Chess.com analysis first and then open the extension.
