Sometimes when I click my opponent's profile while I'm playing them, it automatically shows that I resigned when I return to the game. Why tf is this happening? Is it just a rule or something? Or is this a bug/glitch ???? Im only 500 rated but its still annoying
If you're on the app, leaving the game screen can do that.

nah I'm on the website.. ill be playing somebody and when i click their profile and return, it says they won by resignation. tf is this all about
It can depend on where in the game you are, the time control, and if you have a high disconnect/abort/abandonment rate.

If you click the profile link and it leaves the game screen completely, i.e. it doesn't open in a new tab/window, and your aforementioned rate is too high, it will likely be considered a resignation when it would normally register as an abandonment.

that's weird but ok. what makes this even more interesting is that there was a time when iwas playing on the web browser on my laptop, and my laptop died.. i then quickly pulled out my iPhone and was able to resume the game within a minute through the ios app.. you would think that would be considered an auto resignation but i guess not. wahtever
