Hi,

I am a premium member but would like to have a separate account for my 11 year old son. How do I do this?

PUMAPRIDE

just create another account

Cry_Wolf

I would just logout, click "register", make a second account, and purchase premium (if desired).

if he's eleven you could either do the above mentioned ideas or make him an account on chesskid.com which is the kids version of chess.com.

Eleven is too old for chesskid.com. (but then again, it's pretty young for chess.com)

i dont think so, even so chess.com as whole is a pretty cool place. in some topics you could believe nearly everyone is 11 the most

Creating another account is what I have tried to do but the systam is not allowing it Says the combintion of password and e-mail address is used even though I tried numerous and some odd passwords.

PUMAPRIDE

then get a new email account on yahoo or hotmail... its free

Hi spudwebb11,

An email address can't be used twice so you'd need to create one for him, then simply create an account for him.  The only thing we ask is that you don't play rated games against anyone logging in from the same pc as you :)

We do have a site aimed at parents/kids, for kids that are under the age of 13.  www.chesskid.com

The parent creates their own account, then the account of the child using the exact same email address. This then allows the parent full access to the childs account. This permits the parent to monitor game play, tactics trainer scores and progress, who is on their friends list, any posts they make in groups..

One of the main differences with chesskid site is that it is safe for kids. Although we have live chess there, the chat is disabled for everyone unless its a game between two people on friends list. The same applies to online games. Chat is only visible to those on friends lists.

Once you've taken a look at the site, if you need any further information on the site, please let me know, i'll be happy to help.

I suggest getting him his own email address and using that...

I would not recommend chesskid.com because -- no offense to the staff -- it is babyish
