I picked the gift plan then tried to enter his email address but it wouldn't take it, saying "No results found". I assume that is because he is not a member. Yet, when he tries to register, it wants a valid credit card to complete it. The subscription is a gift from me so why does he need to provide his credit card info?

He should be able to create a basic account with nothing other than an email address. Once the account is created, you should be able to gift to it.
It worked when I tried just entering an email and a message. I just made up an email address and after I clicked search, it let me continue and add a message.

I'm trying to buy a gift subscription and membership for my brother but am unsuccessful. When I enter his email address, it is not recognized since he is not a member. When he attempts to register, a credit card is needed. I don't want him to have to enter his card as I am buying it. Suggestions?
