gold membership not working?

I purchased a gold membership to get unlimited puzzles last June, I noticed a significant increase in the yearly cost, however the subscription isn’t due to till this coming June, yet I have a cap on how many puzzles and saying I need to upgrade to gold? What’s the deal?! Bummed the gold is now $50 nearly 100% increase. I can’t believe with the increase that my already purchased membership (that previously worked) would essentially cancel itself with 3 or so months to go.

I am on an iPhone 8, purchased thru apple (which I have seen has issues) but that was 9 months ago and has worked

The older gold subscription before the 1st of September did not have unlimited puzzles, it instead had other features such as unlimited game review. If you wish to remove the puzzle cap you’ll have to subscribe to the new gold plan or consider upgrading. You can view the full details about the subscription change @ https://www.chess.com/membership and make sure you’re logged into your account to see the old vs new features.

The old gold membership, which it appears you’re subscribed to has:

25 Puzzles per Day
5 Puzzle Rush per Day
Interactive Lessons (Beginner)‎
Game Report & Analysis

You may contact support and they might be able to move you to the newer plan, that doesn't have the older feature set but at the higher price.

That makes much more sense, didn’t recall having “unlimited puzzles” admittedly, I hadn’t been using the app much to recognize that. Thanks for y’all’s time and sorting this out. Still a bit of a bummer it’s that expensive. But might consider it down the line now that it’s unlimited puzzles.

That's not the only change. On the old plans the Video library was only unlimited to Diamond and on new plans it's all premium.

I feel kinda ripped off. I paid for the gold level and didn’t get the unlimited lessons as promised. I stupidly upgraded to Platinum which also promised unlimited lessons and still didn’t receive them. This just happened today so it’s not on the old plan. Is this some sort of scam or just a glitch?
