Yep, but with Vista, not Windows 8.
A few other people have mentioned it too.
That's not good, I was actually considering upgrading. Well hopefully the programmers are working this out..I don't plan on switching browsers everytime I log into Chess.com.
Is this happening with all of the videos? Not as a permanent fix, but have you tried using a different browser to test if its just with chrome?
Hi Guys, Please make sure that you have Chrome updated to the latest version. Click the settings button, then go to About Google Chrome. Your version number should begin with a 25, not a 24.
Yes, updating to Chrome 25 worked, but it's so new that Chrome hadn't even notified me yet to update. I wonder why Chrome 24 broke? It was working fine for me in the past.
It is strange. It automatically updated for me on my Mac no problem, but my PC for whatever reason decided that it liked the old version better :)
This is a Chrome issue, until Chrome updates you will need to watch in another browser. It should work for you in FireFox or IE.
I have some issues with chess.com TV, when I start to watch a video (one from the video library, not a live one), it usually restarts after 5-10 minutes. I also use Google Chrome.
I experience the best streaming quality when it is sleeptime in the USA, I guess this is logical. After the USA "wakes up" the streaming becomes more laggy or even unwatchable if there's a big event. Let's see what happen's when GM Judit Polgar comes!
I'm a longtime Google Chrome user and have watched video lessons in the past with no problem. Yesterday I came back to Chess.com after a long hiatus and tired to watch a video lesson and got this error:
"The video playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the video used features your browser did not support"
The only change I've made recently was switched to Windows 8 after buying a new laptop.
So my question is, is anyone that uses Google Chrome under Windows 8 experiencing the same problem?
