Chess free trial

Hi,

Have anyone tried diamond free trial membership recently?
I want to buy it but I'm a bit concerned about the process. I know they require full information about the payment which is understanable, but when I go to paypal to complete the process it says I'm actually instantly paying the price of ~90$. All the other free trials I have tried required the payment info but it always showed that I will be charged after this certain amount of time (in this case 7 days), not instantly.

I can't really risk and test it right now so therefore I'm asking if anyone tried it recently and can tell me if the price was charged instantly or after 7 days and if the cancelation process was unproblematic
