Should be a section for options and choose the colour in there while your setting it up.
How can I play black against a bot?

Unfortunately not. If I set up an unrated, custom game, I can choose my color, but I can't make one of the bots my opponent. <shrug> I guess this "feature" is to encourage me to play rated games against a human. I'm just having so much fun with the bots right now.

You can choose your color as shown above by choosing the black king or the white king. You can also leave it up to chance

Thank you!!! I neglected to click the "Choose" button. Up to now I just clicked on the bot and started playing. Again, thank you!
