how did my pawn disappear???

I was playing chess with a person qnd they did a move where the moved their pawn diagonally towards a pawn that, hear this, WASNT EVEN THERE!!! My pawn was on the side of their pawn (ie if my pawn was on d6, there’s was on c6) but they still managed to kill my pawn! I recorded a video, but its not letting me put it in this post. Pls fix.

It's called en passant, it's a standard chess rule, not a bug. If a pawn moves two squares on its first move, an enemy pawn can capture it as if it had only moved one square.
