Thank You for giving me hope :) I am not sure if had opted for non auto-renewal so I won't blame chess.com. I hope they will co-operate
If you go to "Account" in the "Home" section, at the very top is a yellow box that has the link to cancel your membership.
Go to Account. You will find something at the top, in which it will show you something that says close premium membership.

Thanks for your reply :) The website cancels subscription only from the date the next payment is due. In my case, I want my money refunded against the auto-renewal which happened today

You asked to cancel yesterday. Most businesses don't run their accounts departments on a Sunday.
And the auto-renewal is how most subscriptions work. You should have read the small print and if you didn't like it then dont subscribe.
Based on most of the posts here chess.com are a very fair bunch and will sort you out, so stop panicking and making multiple forum posts.

Not saying staff doesn't read the forums, but if I were you I'd file a ticket with Billing. Even if staff reads and responds, that's probably what they'll ask you to do. Here's the link:
