How do I find a given opening in my games?

How do I find in my games (online chess) all the games I played with a given opening (say D00)? This would be very useful to fins how I have played various variations of this opening and  where I need to improve. As far as I can see, I can only search for games I won or lost, against a given player, or games with a given title (whatever that means...).

Theoretically, you can do this within "Game Explorer." Make the opening moves, then choose "my games" in the dropdown menu and hit "search." This should return all the games you've played here with the opening (from either side).

Unfortunately, Game Explorer doesn't seem to have all of users' games in it. Some people have said it doesn't return anything. In my case it only seems to return very old games.

Until they fix that, the only way is probably to use an external database. I use Chessbase for this, but I understand there are some freebies out there as well.

Since you are a diamond member, it would appear as if you have full access to the opening database, where you can view your own games. When viewing your own games, it will say what opening it is below the opening database board, you just have to click moves to see what variation you play, and where you diverted.

Not sure if there is another way.

For posterity (since this came up in my Google search results), the way to do this is to open a new analysis board (from "learn" in the sidebar), and start making the moves of the opening you're interested in.

When you reach the first position you're interested in, switch to the "explore" tab, click on the pull-down menu that says "master games", and select "my games" in that pull-down...from that point on, you'll be seeing a list of the games you reached that position in, and the "moves to play in this position" will be the moves you've tried and your personal results, rather than statistics from master-level games.

Two new drop-downs will appear, allowing you to filter your games by time control, and by which color you played as...by default, you'll be looking at games where you've reached that position as white, so be sure to switch that pull-down to "black" if you're looking for games where you were defending against a particular opening by white.
